Need tips on how to improve my art

Hello,
since school has started it is harder for me to get a full-time job, so I ** trying to sell art to save up money,
but I don't know if others like my art.
I was wondering what I should improve on.
I work with Photoshop cs6 I think and use a bamboo tablet.
I ** mostly a pixel.and anime type artist.
The kind of art I really want to do is like comic style or t-shirt designs but have trouble getting everything to look perfect!
Please help.. but don't be to harsh I ** still armature.
